January is National Blood Donor Month

The American Cross estimates that “every two seconds someone in America needs blood.” That’s where you come in! January is National Blood Donor Month, so we wanted to both recognize the nearly four million donors across the United States and put out a call to action.

From the Red Cross:

During winter blood donations often decline as inclement weather causes blood drives to be cancelled and seasonal colds and flu can keep donors home. January can be a difficult month for blood donations, yet the need for blood continues. That’s why it’s important for all eligible donors to make and honor blood donation appointments this month and throughout the winter.

Plus, there’s extra incentive: now through the end of January, email marketing@smalldog.com a photo that you’ve given blood (during or after photos; keep it classy, folks!) and we’ll send you a coupon to save some dollars on the red Chill Pill!
