#123: Best in Showroom | February 2010
February marks the halfway mark for many of us for the winter season. Tomorrow many of us will wake up with the hopes that our favorite groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, does not see his shadow! For those of us in the northeast—no matter what the groundhog’s official prediction is—we know we still have many weeks of winter ahead of us.
Our January thaw seems well behind us now as the cold weather seems to have moved back in. I know I am counting down the days ‘til spring arrives as warm weather can never come soon enough for me!
Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away, and while there isn’t much we can do to stop the cold and snow, we can do our best to maybe distract you a little bit from the weather outside. This year, you will find that shopping for your Valentine is a breeze when you come into our retail stores.
We’ll have gift boxes all ready to go for your special Valentine—all you need to do is bring your gift home, because the wrapping is done! We have discounts of 10% off on all your favorite pink and red accessories for your iPhones, iPods and laptops.
Please stop into either our South Burlington or Waitsfield retail stores to see all the great products and specials for you and your Valentine!
With the tax season finally upon us, everyone is in a mad rush to get their 2009 tax information entered so they can get that return! Some of us have already spent our refunds before even starting the tax return process… (personally I’m thinking about saving my refund check for a new iPad 64GB—it will be hard to wait, but well worth it).
TurboTax software from Intuit is the best option to maximize your returns for 2010. There are several different versions Intuit offers to fit everyone’s different tax requirements. The are various versions of TurboTax, but the most common ones we see fly off the shelf are: Basic, Deluxe, Premier and Home & Business. These different versions allow you to file any number of your Federal, State and Business forms. Check out all of the TurboTax versions here!
New! Trexta Cases for iPhone 3G/3GS
Recently we brought in a new line of iPhone cases to both of our retail stores and online: Trexta. These are genuine leather cases that bring a sense of sophistication and professionalism to the iPhone.
The leather acts as great protection for the iPhone, but you also get a clear plastic film (also known as a screen protector) to keep the screen of your iPhone from getting little scratches.
The thing I really like about these cases is that while they do a great job protecting your iPhone, they’re not too bulky! Your iPhone still looks slim and sleek—and will still fit in your pocket.
This case comes in three variations: Red and White Stripes, Green, White, and Red Stripes and finally Brown and Wood Brown stripes. These cases retail for $29.99, but will make your iPhone look like a million bucks!
iPod Classic: Still a Classic
I know that the iPhone and iPod touch are getting all the attention these days, but I would like to take a moment to praise the iPod classic. This is the device that started it all.
Now, boasting a huge capacity of 160GB (and available in silver or black), you can store 200 hours a video, 25,000 pictures or 40,000 songs. I can carry my entire music library, some pictures of my family and a couple of movies all right in my pocket.
Right now, we are bundling the iPod classic with a RapCap microphone by Chill Pill Audio and AppleCare for the great price of $289.99. Come in and check it out!
New! Urbanears Headphones
This Scandinavian company brings us some very cool, very colorful, yet very practical headphones. Urbanears is unlike any other type of headphone on the market. Not only are they aesthetically pleasing—they follow through with an amazing sound!
There are two types of the Urbanears available right now the Tanto and the Plattan (both over the ear). The Tanto ($39.99) is a smaller set of headphones—but don’t let the size fool you (see the purple pair in the picture to the left)! They carry a great sound with a 36mm headphone driver with a 20-20kHz frequency response. These headphones are great for on the go!
The Plattan ($59.99) is a larger headphone (but still compact) with an even bigger sound! With the 40mm driver and 20-20kHz frequency, these headphones sound like a dream!
These are ideal for enjoying some intense tunes, or to block noise out when you are looking for some down time! They are also extremely comfortable and have a built-in headphone splitter so you can even let a friend enjoy your jams!
Both the Tanto and the Plattan have built-in Mics and will work with your iPhone 3G/3GS or 2nd/3rd Gen iPod touch! Try out the Urbanears line at either of our retail stores!
Product of the Month: February 2010
Apple’s latest creation, the iPad tablet, was finally announced this past week.
Many customers have been calling and coming into our retail stores asking about this amazing little device.
We are eagerly awaiting the day for Apple to start shipping these out and can’t wait to offer our personal reviews and feedback.
We are taking pre-orders on these devices!
We expect to see Apple shipping these in the next 60-90 days.
Word is, they’ll be worth the wait…
For the month of February, our classes will be offered in our South Burlington location.
